Legal Authority:

Established by Board of Supervisors Ordinance G-1677 dated July 18, 1972 pursuant to Section 204, et seq. of Uniform Building Code, 1976 Edition.

Membership Qualifications:

Five (5) members who are qualified by experience and training to pass upon matters pertaining to building construction.

Term:

Four-year staggered term.

Duties:

It shall be the responsibility of the Board to • resolve all questions relating to the suitability of alternate materials and methods of construction arising under this title • determine reasonable interpretations of the provisions of the Code of Building Regulations, except interpretation and appeals taken under the House Code • make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors concerning new legislation consistent with its function
