Legal Authority:

Established by Board of Supervisors Ordinance No. 29 of June 2, 1891, pursuant to Section 6301, et seq., of Business and Professions Code.

Membership Qualifications:

Seven (7) members: • four (4) or five (5) Judicial Officers selected by Superior Court • two (2) local Bar Association members appointed by Board of Supervisors upon recommendation of local Bar Association, one of whom represents the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors if he/she so desires, and one of whom represents local Bar Association

Term:

One-year term on a calendar year basis.

Duties:

It shall be the responsibility of the Board to • develop policy for administration, maintenance, and protection of the Law Library and all property thereto • direct expenditures of the Law Library fund

Meeting Place and Time:

Law Library 1415 Truxtun Avenue, Room 301 Bakersfield, CA Third Tuesday of each month at 12:15 P.M.
