Code Sec. 54954.2[a]) - Supervisor Peterson discussed correspondence from Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich regarding results of a study conducted in L.A. County revealing a high level of bacteria in water dispensed by vending machines. Supervisor Peterson further stated that although the State of California has jurisdiction over monitoring water quality offered by vending machines, regular inspections may not be occurring.
